This Privacy Policy explains how Qbiq Studios LLP ("Edpodia", "we", "us", "our"), the operating entity for Edpodia's services in India, collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data of users ("you", "your") of our website (edpodia.in) and mobile application (collectively, the "Platform").

This Policy is issued in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 of India, and applies to all users of the Platform, primarily located in India.

We currently collect the following personal data when you register or use the Platform:

• Email address
• Phone number

As our services grow, we may in the future collect additional data, including but not limited to:

• Payment and transaction information (processed via third-party payment gateways such as Razorpay; we do not store your card, UPI, or bank details directly)
• Device information, IP address, browser type, and usage analytics (via tools such as Google Analytics)
• Push notification tokens and preferences
• Content interaction data (episodes played, bookmarks, progress, quiz results)

This Policy is intended to cover such future data collection, and we will update this Policy and notify users of material changes.

We use your personal data to:

• Create and manage your account
• Provide access to Kerala PSC (and future exam category) audio content
• Send service-related communications, including updates about new features and exam categories
• Improve our Platform through analytics (once enabled)
• Process payments securely (once paid plans are introduced)
• Send promotional and marketing communications, where you have consented, and provide an easy option to opt out at any time
• Comply with legal obligations under Indian law

We process your personal data based on your explicit, informed consent, provided at the time of registration or use of specific features. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us using the details in Section 11.

Withdrawing consent may limit your ability to use certain features of the Platform.

We may use third-party service providers for the following purposes, whether currently active or introduced in the future:

• Analytics — to understand usage patterns and improve our services (e.g. Google Analytics)
• Advertising — to display relevant advertisements and measure their performance
• Payments — to process transactions securely (e.g. Razorpay), once paid plans are introduced
• Push Notifications — to send you reminders, updates, and new content alerts

These third parties may have access to limited personal data strictly necessary to perform their functions, and are contractually or legally obligated to protect your data in accordance with applicable law.

As of the date of this Policy, our website infrastructure is hosted on servers located in the European region. We are in the process of migrating our hosting infrastructure to servers located in India.

Regardless of server location, we implement appropriate technical and organizational safeguards to protect your personal data, in accordance with the DPDP Act and applicable cross-border data transfer requirements. We will update this section to reflect our hosting location once migration to India is complete.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active, or as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your data at any time, subject to any legal retention requirements.

We implement reasonable security practices and procedures, including encryption, access controls, and secure server infrastructure, to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, in accordance with the DPDP Act and applicable Indian law.

As a data principal under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct or update inaccurate or incomplete data
• Withdraw consent for processing at any time
• Request erasure of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements
• Nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity
• Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India if you believe your rights have been violated

Our current Platform (Edpodia Podcast App) is intended for users preparing for competitive examinations and is not directed at children under 18.

As Edpodia expands to include school learning products for Class 11/12 and A-Level/GCSE students, some of whom may be minors, we will implement age-verification and verifiable parental consent mechanisms as required under the DPDP Act before collecting personal data from minors on those specific products.
